TODAY IN AI
  1.  China's "Manus" can do 50 tasks at once: Butterfly Effect, a company with just a few dozen employees in Beijing and Wuhan, has unveiled Manus—a so-called "general AI agent" that can build apps, conduct deep research, and even screen resumes—all on its own. And get this: it supposedly outperforms OpenAI’s Deep Research on the GAIA benchmark, despite having way less funding than the American AI giants. The hype is real—Hugging Face’s Victor Mustar called it "the most impressive AI tool he’s ever tried,"
But wait—plot twist! Some testers think Manus might actually be running on Anthropic’s Claude 3.5 😳, and the company’s co-founder pretty much confirmed it. Even so, people are already dreaming about what this thing could do if upgraded to the more powerful Claude 3.7.

  2. Portugal’s AI-powered real estate agent closes $100M in sales—no humans needed: Portugal just rewrote the real estate game with its first AI-powered real estate agent, and it’s already raking in $100 million in sales. Built by eSelf AI and Porta da Frente Christie’s, this digital property guru is always on, always available, making time zones irrelevant for international buyers. With access to over 5,000 properties, it answers questions instantly, suggests homes based on personal preferences, and even gives immersive virtual tours—meaning you could technically buy a dream house in Lisbon while chilling in your pajamas on the other side of the world. This isn’t just a tech upgrade; it’s a massive shift in how real estate deals are done, making the process faster, smoother, and way more efficient for buyers and sellers alike.

  3. AI job boom explodes—demand doubles in 2025, and the money is flowing: If you’ve got AI skills, 2025 is your year. A whopping 25% of all U.S. tech jobs now require AI expertise, more than double from early 2024. But here’s the kicker: it’s not just tech anymore. Retail, real estate, and even HR are now hunting for AI talent as companies rush to integrate machine learning into their operations. At least nine U.S.-based AI companies have already landed $100M+ funding rounds in 2025 alone. And AI isn’t just about making money—it’s saving lives, too. AI is everywhere, and it’s reshaping careers, investments, and even healthcare at lightning speed.
