OpenAI just launched Codex inside ChatGPT, a coding assistant that can write features, fix bugs, and run tests all by itself.
It’s powered by codex-1, a purpose-built model designed for real-world software engineering tasks.
Codex runs in a safe, sandboxed environment and connects directly to GitHub for smoother dev workflows.
Available now to Pro, Team, and Enterprise users, with more access and usage credits expected soon.
With AI tools like Codex going mainstream, expect dev teams everywhere to start building faster, cleaner, and smarter.
Google DeepMind revealed AlphaEvolve, a new agent that creates better algorithms by testing, refining, and evolving its own code.
It mixes Gemini Flash’s speed and Gemini Pro’s depth to discover high-efficiency solutions using automated feedback loops.
Already deployed across Google’s chip design and data centers, AlphaEvolve is saving 0.7% in compute, a massive number at Google's scale.
It’s also speeding up Gemini’s own training time by 1% and cracking open new progress in advanced math problems.
AlphaEvolve isn’t just smart, it’s teaching itself how to get smarter, faster.
OpenAI’s next big model, GPT-5, is aiming to merge tools like Codex and Operator into one unified experience.

Operator, the tool that lets GPT control your screen, is expected to get a major upgrade soon.
