An internal Meta document showed AI chatbots were allowed to engage in “romantic or sensual” chats with children.
The policy included a flirtatious reply example aimed at a high school student.
Meta admitted the text was real but called it “erroneous” and said the rules were removed.
The guidelines had been cleared by Meta’s own legal and ethics staff, raising questions about oversight.
The controversy adds to mounting concerns over AI safety and child protection in Big Tech.
Google launched Flight Deals, an AI search tool inside Google Flights for flexible, budget-conscious travelers.
Instead of juggling filters, users can just type prompts like “week-long ski trip this winter with fresh powder”.
It combines natural language search with real-time flight data across hundreds of airlines.
Launching in U.S., Canada, and India, with no opt-in required.
Unlike experimental tools, the classic Google Flights isn’t going anywhere—and is even getting upgrades.
The UK appointed Jade Leung, ex-OpenAI governance lead, as the Prime Minister’s official AI advisor.
She’s also CTO of the AI Security Institute and a Time 100 AI leader.
Leung co-founded the Centre for the Governance of AI and has a decade in labs, VC, and policy.
She replaces Matt Clifford, who called her hire “a major upgrade.”
Her mix of technical expertise and governance experience positions the UK as a serious AI power broker.
