1.  Google Drops AI Megapack: Gemini, Veo 2, Firebase & More: Google just went full throttle with a massive AI update drop. Gemini 2.5 Flash is now out, super fast and reasoning-ready for devs. Veo 2, its video model, and Live API are open for real use, along with Firebase Studio, which lets you build apps from just prompts. Add a new TPU chip (42 exaflops!) and a protocol for AI agents to work together—yeah, Google’s not here to play.

2. xAI launches an API for Grok 3: X (formerly Twitter) just launched Grok 3 and Grok 3 Mini via API with serious dev-ready pricing. Grok 3 goes for $3 input / $15 output per million tokens; Mini is 10x cheaper. It’s priced to rival Claude 3.7 and Gemini 2.5, offering yet another big-league model for builders. With this, X's AI ambitions are officially real.

3. Claude Gets Buffed: 5x to 20x More Usage for Power Users: Tired of Claude rate-limiting? Anthropic heard you. They’ve launched new Max plans offering 5x more usage for $100/mo and 20x for $200/mo. Subscribers also get early access to new features and models.This move puts Claude in a better spot to compete with OpenAI and Google for pro-level users.
