LATEST IN AI TODAY📎
China’s Moonshot AI just dropped Kimi K2, a 1T parameter model (32B active) that’s open source and crazy good.
It beats Claude 4 Opus and GPT-4.1 on multiple coding + reasoning benchmarks.
The fact that it’s fully open is turning heads — you can fine-tune it, inspect it, or just build cool stuff on top.
Devs are calling it another “DeepSeek moment”, where an underdog shows frontier strength.
Until now, Moonshot was barely known outside China — that’s likely to change fast.
SpaceX is reportedly investing $2B in Elon Musk’s AI startup xAI, part of a bigger $10B raise.
This would be SpaceX’s first direct investment in another Musk-led venture.
xAI’s chatbot Grok already powers Starlink support, with more cross-company integrations expected.
Musk has a long history of blending his companies, including folding xAI into X earlier this year.
Despite Grok’s recent backlash, Tesla plans to bring it into cars, showing Musk isn’t backing down.
Goldman Sachs has partnered with Cognition to bring on Devin, the AI coding agent.
Unlike other banks, it’s not just using AI for support — Devin runs full workflows solo.
This makes Goldman the first major bank to let an AI handle full-stack engineering.
Devin sparked the vibe coding trend when it launched last year — and it's still going strong.
Rival firms like JPMorgan and Morgan Stanley are dabbling too, but Goldman just leveled up.

According to researchers at the University of Manchester, our aviation radar systems blast over 2,000 trillion watts of signals into space potentially enough for aliens 200 light-years away to detect us. These signals could act as a cosmic beacon of intelligent life, but only if there’s a civilization out there with tech advanced enough to pick it up.
