#1 LATEST IN AI TODAY📎
What Happened (May 2026):
Both OpenAI and Anthropic launched multi-billion-dollar enterprise ventures with Wall Street firms to bring AI directly into companies.
What You Need to Know:
Anthropic partnered with Blackstone, Goldman Sachs, and others to build a ~$1.5B AI services firm, embedding engineers to deploy Claude inside real business workflows.
OpenAI is launching its own “Deployment Company” backed by ~$4B+, working with firms like Bain, Brookfield, and SoftBank to do the same.
The goal is simple: most companies don’t know how to use AI — so these firms act like “McKinsey for AI,” implementing systems end-to-end.
Why It Matters:
AI isn’t just software anymore — it’s becoming a services business, and whoever owns deployment (not just models) will capture the real enterprise value.
#2 LATEST IN AI TODAY📎
What Happened (May 2026):
Perplexity launched Computer in Teams, bringing its agent into collaborative work environments.
What You Need to Know:
The agent can now work across team workflows, helping with research, docs, and tasks inside shared environments.
It’s designed to act like a team member, not just a search tool — continuously helping across projects.
This builds on Perplexity’s shift toward agentic AI, where it completes tasks instead of just answering queries.
Why It Matters:
Every AI company is moving toward the same endgame — AI teammates inside your company, not just chatbots on the side.
