What Happened:
OpenAI launched the OpenAI Partner Network, a new enterprise program to help companies actually deploy AI at scale, not just experiment with it.
What You Need to Know:
OpenAI is investing $150M into the program and aims to train 300,000 certified consultants by the end of 2026. The network includes consultants, system integrators, tech firms, and data partners.
The program will help companies identify AI use cases, redesign workflows, integrate OpenAI into existing systems, and manage adoption across teams.
The timing is important: the launch comes as OpenAI faces a 42-state attorney general probe into its advertising, data practices, minors, user engagement, and model sycophancy.
Why It Matters:
OpenAI is building an enterprise distribution machine before going public, while also facing growing legal scrutiny over how ChatGPT is marketed and used.

What Happened:
More than 100 cybersecurity executives and researchers signed an open letter urging the U.S. to lift its export ban on Anthropic’s Fable 5, arguing the restriction hurts defenders more than attackers. At the same time, the controversy may actually be helping Anthropic’s enterprise sales.
What You Need to Know:
The letter argues that banning Fable 5 handcuffs security teams that use advanced AI to find and patch vulnerabilities, while attackers can still pull similar capabilities from rival models.
Ex-Facebook security chief Alex Stamos said the flagged jailbreak produced a “proof of concept” of a flaw, the kind of output defensive teams use to identify and fix weak spots.
The letter says models like OpenAI’s Daybreak, GPT-5.5, Kimi 2.7, Opus, and Sonnet can perform similar flaw-finding tasks, so targeting only Anthropic may not actually reduce the risk.
The controversy may also be helping Anthropic commercially: Ramp spending data shows Anthropic’s enterprise sales have not been hurt, and may even be getting a boost from the perception that its models are powerful enough to worry governments.
Why It Matters:
Anthropic’s model ban is turning into a double-edged story: security experts say it weakens defenders, while enterprises may see the controversy as proof that Claude’s top models are worth buying.
