How AI-Era Pricing Is Reshaping Finance Operations

Usage-based and hybrid pricing models are changing how B2B companies generate revenue — and creating new headaches for the finance teams behind them.

Tabs co-founder Rebecca Schwartz and PwC Partner Amit Dhir sat down to unpack exactly what that means in practice: how pricing model decisions ripple into revenue recognition, forecasting, and financial ops — and what it takes to scale without piling on manual work.

Watch the on-demand recording to get practical frameworks, real-world examples, and a clear path to operationalizing usage-based revenue — including a forward-looking take on how AI will reshape financial workflows. If your team is navigating pricing complexity heading into the back half of the year, this is worth an hour.

#1 LATEST IN AI TODAY📎

What Happened:
Anthropic published research showing Claude uses an internal J-space, a kind of hidden mental notepad where it holds and steers active concepts while reasoning.

What You Need to Know:

  • J-space is separate from visible chain-of-thought. Claude can use these internal signals to guide its answers without writing them out on screen.

  • When researchers edited J-space, Claude’s answers changed too. In one test, swapping an internal “spider” pattern for “ant” changed its answer about legs from 8 to 6.

  • When researchers removed this workspace, Claude could still chat and recall facts, but its multi-step reasoning got much worse. So yes, Claude apparently has a tiny invisible desk where the harder thinking happens.

Why It Matters:
AI reasoning is getting less like simple text prediction and more like hidden internal planning — which is exciting, weird, and slightly “please show your work, bestie.”

#2 LATEST IN AI TODAY📎

What Happened:
Kyutai and General Intuition released MIRA, an open-source world model built with Epic Games that can run a live 2v2 Rocket League-style game entirely inside a neural network — no normal game engine underneath.

What You Need to Know:

  • MIRA learned from 10,000 hours of AI bots playing each other, with no human gameplay or player data used in training.

  • It runs at 20 FPS on a single Nvidia GPU, keeping four players’ screens synced while generating cars, crashes, boost meters, and motion from scratch.

  • Its memory only lasts about four seconds, so when replays happen, MIRA sometimes hallucinates a very convincing goal that never existed. Tiny neural gaslighting, basically.

Why It Matters:
This is not really about replacing Rocket League. It is about teaching AI to simulate physical worlds — the kind of skill future robots will need before they enter the real one.

🎮 If MIRA keeps improving, what should it simulate next?
