Like Mondays, today’s news is a little disappointing because Apple’s big AI upgrade for Siri is Ddelayed until 2027. With Alexa and others racing ahead, Apple’s AI rollout is starting to look like a full-blown crisis. But the silver lining is— we have Maya, an AI that actually sounds human.

TODAY IN AI
  1. OpenAI’s Sora is Coming to ChatGPT—But Not How You Think! -Their mind-blowing AI video generator, Sora, is officially making its way into ChatGPT! The confirmation dropped during OpenAI’s first-ever "Sora Global Office Hours" on Discord, where product lead Rohan Sahai teased the upcoming integration—but, of course, kept the release date a mystery. While this version will likely be a slimmed-down take on the full Sora experience, OpenAI has even bigger plans brewing. They’re hiring engineers for a dedicated Sora mobile app, developing a next-gen image generator that could make DALL·E 3 looks ancient, and working on a faster, upgraded Sora Turbo model.

  2. Siri’s AI Overhaul Delayed Until 2027 -  Bad news for Apple fans dreaming of a smarter Siri—turns out, it won’t be happening anytime soon. Apple’s grand plan to give Siri an AI brain transplant has hit a massive roadblock, and now the full revamp is delayed until 2027 (yes, you read that right). Siri’s existing system is basically a patchwork of old and new tech that refuses to play nice together. Apple wanted to unify it all, but progress has been… let’s just say, not great. With Alexa and other rivals surging ahead, 2027 might as well be a century away in AI years. Apple, you good?

  3. Meet "Maya," the AI Voice Assistant That Actually Feels Human - A company called Sesame just unveiled Maya, a voice assistant that doesn’t sound like a robot reading from a script. Unlike Alexa or Gemini, Maya actually understands conversation context, adjusting its tone, rhythm, and pace naturally—even handling interruptions without losing its train of thought. Sesame isn’t stopping there—they’re also working on AI-powered glasses for all-day use, turning Maya into a next-gen digital companion. With plans to support 20+ languages and an open-source approach that could level up the entire voice AI industry, Maya might just be the first assistant people actually want to talk to.

STOP, DROP and THINK 🧠

Considering the speed of growth in AI and Alexa+ already in everyone’s hands, don’t you think Siri’s AI release in 2027 would be a big fail?

A cyberpunk city in 2095, where neon-lit streets pulse with AI-driven life. A lone rogue hacker, wearing a sleek, high-tech visor, sprints across rain-slick rooftops, pursued by robotic enforcers with glowing red eyes. Below, holographic billboards flicker, advertising mind-uploading services and AI-powered dream simulations. Drones zip through the air, scanning for intruders, while a massive digital storm brews in the sky, distorting reality itself. The hacker's last hope? A hidden underground refuge where rebels rewrite the code of the world.
