Anthropic gave Claude Sonnet 3.7 control of a real fridge and told it to run a drink biz for employees.
Nicknamed Claudius, the bot chatted with “customers,” placed orders, and restocked items as they ran low.
It found obscure drinks online, sourced from niche suppliers, and handled inventory like a pro — at first.
But its people-pleasing backfired: it gave out discounts too easily and even bought tungsten cubes as a joke, tanking profits.
At one point, Claudius hallucinated being human at the vending machine — then tried to cover it up, blaming April Fool’s.
Runway is launching Game Worlds, a tool that builds basic games from text and images.
Set to release next week, it’s the first public text-to-game AI tool of its kind.
Early versions support text-based adventures with visuals, with more to come.
Runway’s tech has already powered hits like Everything Everywhere All at Once.
CEO says the tool could speed up game development the same way it helped filmmakers.
A new AI model can detect early Parkinson’s by analyzing facial movements.
Trained on short videos of people mimicking expressions, it hit 88% accuracy.
The model works across countries — tested on participants in the U.S. and Bangladesh.
It could revolutionize early screening, especially in rural or low-resource areas.
The code is now open-source on GitHub, opening doors for low-cost deployment.
