Anthropic introduced Agent Skills for Claude, a framework where Claude can load specialized capabilities (scripts, instructions, resources) dynamically to handle domain-specific tasks more effectively.

• Skills are organized folders with instructions, scripts, and resources that Claude accesses when relevant.

• They enhance Claude’s performance on tasks like Excel formulas, brand compliance, or domain workflows. Enabled via a new /v1/skills API endpoint; developers can version/manage skills programmatically.

• Skills require enabling Claude’s Code Execution Tool (in beta) to run securely.
